A major mistake I made when I first started thrifting was just buying anything I liked. I mean, it's only a few bucks, even if I wear it once I'll be fine, right? Right? Nope! That's how you get an overcrowded closet of things that look nice on the hanger, but not on you. Now I make sure that something is absolutely perfect. I have to think of that item with it's original price. Would I but it then? How many times will I wear it? And not to fantasy events... what things have I gone to before that I would have worn it to. Then and only then will I buy it.
So here's a few of the lovely things I was so sad to let go. Ones I was sitting in the dressing room thinking... but if I just alter it a little bit...
